BRAM to host free fashion show, “Walking Women”

Saturday, June 27 at 7 p.m. — LUDLOW — On Saturday, June 27 at 7 p.m. the Black River Academy Museum will host a free fashion show in collaboration with the Ludlow Women’s Club and Tina’s “fun things to wear” boutique located on Depot Street. The Women’s Club will provide the cat-walkers, while Tina’s will provide the fashions. The fashion show will complement the museum’s current exhibit, “Walking Women,” which features works on paper collected and curated by John Stewart of the Amity Art Foundation. As the show’s title suggests, Stewart has prints or paintings from artists all over the world depicting women walking.

The door prize for the fashion show is an outstanding painting by a Croatian artist and can be seen at People’s Bank in Ludlow. Big Eyes Bakery is generously donating refreshments for this fashion event.

Earlier in the day, a 5K Walk will be held at the museum, 14 High Street. Registration is at 10 a.m. and the fee is $20 per person (seniors and students, $10). The 5K walk, fashion show and exhibit will all take place at BRAM, 14 High Street, Ludlow. Please note that the museum exhibit and the fashion show are free and that there is a registration fee for the walk.
