Artists address boundaries in Chandler exhibit

Saturday, June 18 at 6 p.m. — RANDOLPH — During the summer of 2016, Chandler Center for the Arts will be hosting “A Journey Across Boundaries,” an exhibition curated by artists Gowri Savoor and Angelo Arnold. The show features the work of eleven regional visual artists: Angelo Arnold, Galen Cheney, Jason Galligan-Baldwin, Karen Henderson, Liz Kauffman, Rachel Moore, Gowri Savoor, Jason Swift, Mary Zompetti, in addition to poet and winner of the Vermont Book award 2015, Kerrin McCadden and musician and composer, Evan Premo.

Each of the 11 artists will be addressing the theme of boundaries through a complement of sculpture, painting, photography, installation, poetry and music.

While several of the artists will be addressing emotional boundaries within their personal histories, others will interpret the physical, ecological and geopolitical divisions within our local and global systems.
An exhibition opening will take place at the Chandler Art Gallery on Saturday June 18, 6 to 8 p.m. and will include a poetry reading by Kerrin McCadden and a live performance by Evan Premo and Mary Bonhag.
Gallery hours are Tuesday through Thursday, 12 to 5 p.m.; Friday and Saturday, 12 to 6 p.m.
