Award winning play “American Idiot” set for Casella Theater stage

Wednesday, March 16 at 7 p.m. — CASTLETON — The Castleton University Department of Theater Arts presents “American Idiot” beginning Wednesday, March 16 at 7 p.m. in the Casella Theater.

Green Day’s powerhouse album is brought to life in this electric-rock musical of youthful disillusion. The two-time Tony Award-winning hit musical “American Idiot,” based on Green Day’s Grammy Award-winning multi-platinum album, boldly takes the American musical where it’s never gone before.

This high-octane show includes every song from Green Day’s acclaimed album, as well as several songs from the follow-up release, “21st Century Breakdown.”

Performances begin at 7 p.m. in the Casella Theater Wednesday, March 16 through Saturday, March 19 with additional performances on Saturday, March 19 at 2 p.m. and Sunday, March 20 at 2 p.m.
