Anderson earns second D3hoops Team of the Week honor

POULTNEY – In a week where the Eagles doubled their win total from the 2013-14 season with their eighth win, junior forward Cameron Anderson was also selected to the D3hoops Team of the Week for the second time this season, Green Mountain College announced Tuesday, Feb. 16.

Anderson was selected based on his collective statistics over three games in which he averaged 22.7 points, 11 rebounds and 1.3 assists while adding three steals and nine blocks. He shot 58.7 percent from the field and 33.3 percent from deep. Anderson saved his best game for the Eagles’ final game of the week posting 33 points and 17 boards which also included two threes and two blocks in a win against Thomas College.

Anderson has been no stranger to posting big lines this season which is evident in the fact that he leads the North Atlantic Conference in rebounds (9.8) and blocks (2.1) per game while ranking fourth in total scoring (295) and field goal efficiency (57.8 percent).

Anderson’s 11 double-doubles ranks him 15th overall in NCAA Division III, while his 7.57 defensive rebounds per game ranks him 19th nationally.
“We are very excited for Cameron,” said Head Coach Anthony Leonelli. “To twice be recognized on a national level is a great accomplishment and he is a great ambassador for our program.”
