DISPLAY ADVERTISING RATES:

Space is sold by the column inch and discounted on the basis of purchases made in each monthly billing period. For discounts to be earned, however, all statements must be paid promptly.

AGENCIES are billed at the AGENCY RATE. A 15% commission will be allowed if payment is received at The Mountain Times within 20 days of the statement date.

NEW ACCOUNTS are required to pay cash in advance, and will receive all volume discounts, plus an additional 5% discount for prepayment.

ALL RATES SUBJECT TO CHANGE

SERVICE DIRECTORY ADVERTISING:

Ads are sold for full months only at the rate of $78.00 per month or $145.00 per month for a double sized ad.

SPECIAL PLACEMENT RATE:

In order to maintain a consistent and attractive layout of the paper, all requests for special placement must be cleared with the Publisher. If available, special placement will be billed at a $1 per column inch premium. Minimum charge is $20.

COLOR RATE:

Color ads will be charged a $60 premium, regardless of size and will print as "process color".... otherwise full color. There is no "spot" color available.

INSERTS:

Newspaper inserts may be distributed within The Mountain Times for a rate of $45 per 1,000 published copies, assuming that inserts are placed in the entire weekly press run. Selective inserting and distribution will be quoted on request. Since our primary business is publishing, not distribution, all inserts are accepted subject to the discretion of The Mountain Times. We will not generally accept multi-page, bulky or oversized inserts.

CIRCULATION:

FREE circulation of 10,000 to 15,000 copies per week to approximately 350 stand locations, and mailed to 4,000 homes. Quantities vary with season, and 3% or less are returned. An average of 2.25 readers share each copy. Distribution is from border to border, across VT and into NY State. The paper is available at all resort, and most public places in 40+ towns, and at our news stand locations and distribution boxes. we have EXCLUSIVE distribution at Killington Resort. NO other newspapers are allowed there. Subscriptions are mailed to subscribers in 24 states.

PAYMENT TERMS:

All new Accounts are C.O.D. until credit is established.

All Discounts expire after 20 days - thereafter billed net.

1.5% interest per month will be charged for accounts not paid within 30 days of receipt of statement.

All accounts over 90 days old will be placed on credit hold.

All accounts over 120 days will be placed for collection and no further ads will be taken until any previous balance is paid in full, then ads will be taken C.O.D. only until credit is reestablished.

Advertisers with The Mountain Times should be aware of the following guidelines:

The Mountain Times does not charge its customers for typesetting ads for current use in the paper. We, therefore, assume no liability for errors or omissions in ads we produce that have not been proof read by the customer. Customers who wish to proof ads we produce should make arrangements to do so with their salesperson at the time the ad order is placed. There is no charge for local FAX transmission of ads for proofing. Long distance FAX transmissions will be charged accordingly.

Advertisements are accepted upon the representation that the advertiser has the right to publish the contents thereof. In consideration of such publication, they agree to indemnify and hold harmless the publisher against any expense or loss by reason of any claims arising out of publication.

All conditions, other than rates, are subject to change by the publisher without notice.

Positioning of advertisements is at the discretion of the publisher except where specific preferred positions are covered by written commitment of the publisher.

All insertion orders are accepted subject to the provisions of the current rate card. Rates are subject to change upon notice from the publisher.
