802Go! Family Fun in the Great Outdoors series launches June 4

Saturday, June 4 at 10 a.m. — RUTLAND — 802Go!, a series of outdoor events to encourage children and families to connect with other community members while engaging in healthy, recreational and educational activities, will begin on Saturday, June 4 at Rutland Regional Medical Center from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. The 802Go! Family Fun Series is free and includes a sunflower and pumpkin seed planting and other activities, including educational and movement games along with the opportunity to make bird feeders and other take-away items. Light refreshments will be available. 802 Go! Family Fun Series is a collaborative partnership with a mission to promote positive and healthy lifestyles.

“Our spring planting event is the first in a series aimed at strengthening community connections and creating a platform for future generations to understand the importance of outdoor recreation and its relationship to health and wellness,” said Tom Huebner, president and CEO of Rutland Regional Medical Center. “We are proud to work with our community partners to encourage healthy lifestyles.”
